Hugo Scheu was a socially active man with wide-ranging interests, and one of his most prominent personality traits was his diligence. In his memoirs, the nobleman wrote: "If I had any free time, I tried to educate myself in sciences – I wanted to know everything […]. From a young age, I got used to sleeping little – even on Sundays, so I could spend more time with books or writing." H. Scheu's personality and the results of his many years of work are presented in the Study Room exhibition.

The interior of this space is represented by furniture made in the 19th century, believed to have been in the Šilokarčema (Šilutė) manor, various interior details, and certificates and diplomas marking the recognition of the nobleman's achievements.

The exhibition features part of H. Scheu's library that has survived to this day. The authenticity and ownership of eighteen books are confirmed by H. Scheu's stamps and signatures marking the front pages of the prints.
