In this exhibition space, Hugo Scheu's natural collection is presented. It includes stuffed birds and animals hunted in the forests of the Šilutė district. Another part of the collection was purchased from a scientific supplies store in Riga between 1954 and 1958 and was either donated or bought from individuals.
Ekspozicijoje taip pat eksponuojama paties Hugo Šojaus kaupta ir iki šių dienų išlikusi drugelių ir vabalų kolekcija, ją sudaro 4 rinkiniai.
The most unique group of exhibits is the plant collection, consisting of paper sheets with attached dried plants and labels indicating the location, year, and other important information.
The preserved plant collection held in the museum consists of 810 sheets with plants. These plants were collected between 1850 and 1912. The main collection locations include East Prussia (Klaipėda and Tilsit districts), West Prussia, Germany, Switzerland, and Norway. The herbarium contains examples of algae, lichens, horsetails, ferns, and flowering plants.
This plant collection amassed by H. Scheu is the oldest surviving plant collection from the late 19th to early 20th century in Prussian Lithuania. On a national scale, it is the third oldest after the Vilnius University herbarium (late 18th to 19th century) and the plant collection of the Botanical Institute of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (20th century).
